I’m working on a digital membership card system for a large organization (~10k+ members) and trying to figure out the best scalable setup.
I’m considering Kintone as the base to manage membership database, workflows, CRM-like processes, and some inventory-related use cases.
However, I’m facing a few challenges around:
Scaling membership data for large user base
CRM integration (real-time sync, renewals, member status updates)
Digital card validation (QR-based access, expiry handling)
Keeping data consistency across multiple systems
I’ve also been exploring digital membership platforms for large organization like MembershipAnywhere, which already provide digital membership cards, CRM integration, and scalable membership management out of the box. It seems more like a ready SaaS solution, while Kintone offers more flexibility for custom workflows.
I’m trying to decide whether:
Build fully on Kintone
Use a dedicated platform like MembershipAnywhere
Or go with a hybrid approach
Would love to hear how others have handled similar large-scale membership + CRM setups.
Hello @nemow
Welcome to the community!
Kintone is flexible and can handle large membership datasets, but it is not a purpose-built platform like MembershipAnywhere. Core features such as CRM integration, QR-based validation, and membership lifecycle management are not available out of the box, and will require integrations or some level of custom build.
That said, Kintone works well as a central system to manage member data and internal workflows, especially if you need flexibility beyond what packaged solutions offer. From what I’ve seen, many organizations take a hybrid approach, using Kintone for core operations while relying on specialized tools for features that are less practical to build within Kintone alone.
